Tree of Life Prayer Garden Dedicated
The RENEW International Tree of Life Prayer Garden was dedicated on June 20 during a Mass celebrated in honor of those memorialized in the garden. The dedication, originally scheduled for All Saints Day, was delayed until damage from Superstorm Sandy was repaired.
A Mass of Dedication was celebrated in the garden by Fr. Abraham Orapankal, followed by blessing of the grounds and walkway by RENEW’s co-founder, Msgr. Thomas A. Kleissler, and president and executive director Sr. Terry Rickard, OP.
Mass was celebrated in the Tree of Life Prayer Garden at
RENEW International’s headquarters in Plainfield, NJ, on June 20.
The dedication was attended by more than 50 guests, many of whom have donated pavers in the garden to honor friends and relatives. Several of our long-time friends and supporters traveled from other states to share in this special event. The Tree of Life Prayer Garden continues to grow lovelier each day as new plantings mature and more pavers are added. Plans include a mural for the garden walls, shade trees, and additional benches.
