Cheers! Theology on Tap Gathers Huge Success
Beer, Food and Lively Discussion Marks Beginning of New Venture

The second Theology on Tap in the Diocese of Venice rivaled the first with a large crowd and friendly atmosphere.

“This is great to have something for young people,” said Sarah Birdsong of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Naples who attended the Theology on Tap in the southern part of the Diocese on July 28.

Approximately 100 people filled into the pub to hear Bishop Frank J. Dewane speak about saints and the call to holiness.

While Bishop Dewane was the main attraction both in Naples and the July 7 Theology on Tap at the Mad Crow Brewery and Grill in Sarasota, the buzz at both events is a positive sign of future success.

“As a young adult I am often wondering about my place in the Church,” said David Campbell of St. Agnes Parish in Naples. “Knowing there is a place for me to be around people with the same questions and ideas make me feel great. I look forward to coming back over and over again. This was fun.”
