Pastors have incredibly demanding jobs. A pastor is expected to be a jack of all trades, acting as
- the chief catechist,
- an inspiring and relatable preacher,
- the main presider at the Eucharist,
- a community organizer,
- an animator of ministries, and
- the chief administrator.
Even when a pastor shares these responsibilities with other leaders in the parish, whether paid staff or volunteers, there is a lot of work to be done.
RENEW is here to help pastors and parish leaders shepherd their community and offer adults an opportunity to deepen their faith. Our RENEW process is specifically designed so that we do not add work to our already busy parish leaders!
If a pastor wants to build small Christian communities in his parish, all we ask is that he support the vision and identify a group of volunteers to organize and lead RENEW in the parish. We will do the rest.
RENEW has had a long-lasting impact on the lives of people who join small Christian communities, share their faith, and in turn make their parishes more vibrant. We have been building Communion, Participation, and Mission in the Church for almost 50 years!

Our pastoral staff provides:
Training for the volunteers who will lead RENEW in the parish. We provide them with a proven process designed to invite as many people as possible to join a small community.
Continued Accompaniment through the entire process. RENEW becomes like adjunct staff for your parish.

RENEW Results
Formation of small-community leaders will provide the parish with a source of new leadership for its ministries.
Parishioners will be trained in leading small Christian communities.
Participants will be more connected to the Word of God, will pray together in community more, will share their faith and be invited to more intentionally put their faith into action.
What Pastors Are Saying
The ARISE experience has been an overwhelmingly positive experience for the community of Holy Trinity Parish. The number one impact was the effect of faith-sharing on the daily life of the participants. They were able to express things in a safe and caring environment and share in other people's religious journeys; these sessions truly helped all participants be more open to salvation in Christ.
The greatest outcome of ARISE at Holy Trinity was the renewed sense of community experienced in the Eucharist. During this time of confusion about the nature of the Blessed Sacrament, a growing awareness of the centrality of the Eucharist has emerged and it serves our parish well. ARISE is a great tool for evangelization and catechesis in the twenty-first century.

What Participants Are Saying
“ARISE has strengthened my faith through community, learning from others through our large groups, and also by reading the Bible more and just really interacting with God myself and building a personal relationship.”
