RENEW remembers long-time supporter Kathleen Norris
The staff of RENEW International paused recently to celebrate the life of long-time supporter Kathleen Marie Norris, who died on August 5 at her home in Venice, Florida.
Kathleen and her husband Jack were honored at RENEW’s annual gala in 2004 for decades of financial, professional, and practical help.
Kathleen and Jack, who were parishioners at the Church of the Presentation in Saddle River, New Jersey, were personally very generous to RENEW.
They were also among a group of couples who held annual cocktail parties that raised funds for RENEW and introduced new people to its mission and family.
After Jack retired, he worked as a volunteer at RENEW for more than a year, and he was part of a RENEW mission to a dangerous area in South Sudan. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees.
Kathleen, who was a native of Passaic, New Jersey, put her faith into action teaching religious education classes and organizing various activities in her parish. She and Jack, who have four daughters and two sons of their own, provided a home for scores of foster children over the years.
Her family asked that donations in her honor be made to RENEW International, online at www.renewintl.org/donate, or by mail to RENEW International, Att: Development Department, 1232 George Street, Plainfield, N.J. 07062.
An account of Kathleen’s life is available online.
